Parents

ParentsReadingLogs.com creates an ideal learning environment for children ages 5 to 12. Parents and teachers (at participating schools) can upload study material, such as vocabulary and spelling words. Once this information has been organized online, there is no worry of misplaced or forgotten homework. That's right, the "I forgot my homework" excuse just won't work any longer thanks to Reading Logs!

This means no more misplaced words lists. In fact, your child can engage in consistent practice of reviewing spelling or vocabulary words from any computer at any time. Reading Logs even works from your iPod / iPhone / iTouch! So the next time you are on a long drive or stuck in traffic, you and your child have a more productive option than a portable video game or looking out the window in boredom. Now your children can take their words list with them and practice their spelling and vocabulary skills wherever they go.

The Listen and Spell Practice System is also a tremendous time saver, as it eliminates the need for a parent to quiz the student. The computer speaks the word, prompts the student to spell the word and checks to verify that the spelling entered is indeed correct. Once entered into the system, the words will also never be lost! Another feature parents are sure to love is the built-in age appropriate vocabulary and spelling list.

Here is how it works:

1. Parents or teachers at participating schools upload study material and homework along with reading goals, vocabulary words and spelling lists.

2. Once these materials have been uploaded, your child can log in and access the material at anytime. Once logged in, it is possible to either use practice spelling and vocabulary words or study the previously uploaded material. Students can also complete assignments and update their reading logs online.

3. When assignments are finished, they can be submitted online at participating schools, or printed and handed in during class.
